Client: Crown Properties
Architect: OTJ Architects
Project Type: Non-Profit
Location: Washington, DC
We demolished the space and completely built out the new suite for this foundation as well as two sub-tenant spaces. The client selected many recycled materials, such as reclaimed wood paneling, newspaper wall covering, and energy-saving equipment. We consulted with them on selecting an environmentally conscious lighting system that adjusts the level of light based on the amount of sunlight coming in to the room. A few other challenging details that we skillfully handled were re-routing piping to get around an air duct and changing a floor-mounted toilet to a wall-mounted toilet.
