As we begin this new year full of energy to take on new challenges, we look back on a 2018 packed with exciting and innovative projects, excellent partners and lots of fun with our team.
Here are just a few of the projects we loved building in 2018.
Pepperdine University Rooftop Terrace
We transformed the rooftop of the Pepperdine University housing and conference center in D.C. into a chic rooftop terrace. The project included demolishing the existing guardrail and roof pavers and adding new solid surface planters, perimeter glass railing, a window washing system, roof pavers, a solid surface pantry and sink, and all new lighting.
The Walton Family Foundation Expansion
The Walton Family Foundation had outgrown their existing space and called in Martone Construction to help them expand onto the floor above. The project included 26 new private offices, 4 conference rooms, co-working space, a pantry, new corridors, and a steel staircase to connect the existing and new spaces. Recycled barn board wood paneling, light harvesting systems and recycled newspaper wallpaper were just a few of the exciting green elements of the project.
The Ford Agency
The Ford Agency, a woman-owned staffing agency, relied on our team to deliver a fresh office space that reflected their refined and collaborative work style. The contemporary space boasts tons of natural light, an open-office plan, pantry, modern reception area and several wellness nooks.
International Paper Government Relations
The International Paper Government Relations office needed an upgraded space to host clients and partners. Our team delivered a sophisticated suite with a new conference room, pantry, and reception area with recessed glass display cases to showcase International Paper’s distinguished work.
Eye St. Lobby
The Eye St. Lobby renovation refreshed the space while preserving the elegant neoclassical style. Our team was proactive in researching existing building conditions to ensure nothing would hinder the project’s schedule.
